parkrun operates two apps: the parkrun 5k app and the Virtual Volunteer app.
The parkrun app is part of the parkrun family, you can download it for free from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
You can also install the app by scanning this QR code:
We are excited to have the chance to develop the parkrun app into a one-stop shop for everything from registration and volunteer opportunities, to finding all the information you need to know about an event, and in-app communications. The app will allow us to better support event delivery and participant engagement.
Why have we changed the 5k app?
We have been consulting with the community and as a result of that consultation have updated the 5k app to the parkrun app and also given it a brand new look and feel. The core features of the app remain the same and you can still access all of your core parkrun needs
How do we decide what features go on the app?
All our new features are decided through engagement and consultation with the community. This might be through surveys, focus groups, or other means we deploy.
I can’t input my A-number on the app?
Please remove the ‘A’from your A-number and only input the number.
E.g. an A-number of A7563439 you should input 7563439
Can I access my barcode using the parkrun app?
Yes, you can access your parkrun barcode as a QR code via the app.
We would always encourage carrying a wristband, plastic token or printed barcode as they include your “In Case of Emergency” (ICE) number, allowing us to use this information to help keep you safe.
My latest result isn’t showing on the parkrun app?
Results can take a few hours to reflect in the app, if your results still haven't appeared by the end of the day please check the parkrun website to make sure you are listed.
If you are not listed and you had your barcode scanned after the event please contact the local event team.
You can find the event team's email address at the bottom of the event's webpage, and in any previous results email.
In your email, make sure you include your finish position, name and parkrun ID (the number under your barcode).
Please bear in mind that the local events are organised by volunteers, and they may not be able to respond immediately to your request
My time and position are different from my results email?
Occasionally there will be errors in the results that we record. Whilst the event teams try to correct this before posting the results online, the error may only become apparent after the results have been posted.
If the correction causes a significant error then please get in touch with the event team via email.
In your email, make sure you include your finish position (if you don’t know this, please give your approximate finish time if you know this), name and parkrun ID (the number under your barcode).
Please bear in mind that the local events are organised by volunteers, and they may not be able to respond immediately to your request.
Some of my results are missing or there are duplicates
Please try pressing the clear cache button at the bottom of the settings page.
Password resets
Previous patreon supporters of the app had access to additional features by signing into their ‘5k account’ on the app. If you were a patreon and can no longer access your account please reset your password.
Please note the password for the ‘5k account’ is separate to your main parkrun account which has its own password.
How do I provide feedback on the app?
Please get in touch via our contact form.
